The short answer is: it depends.
Gelato offers local production in 30 countries and we deliver worldwide to countries where we do not offer local production.
On the product page in our catalogue, you can find an indication of the countries where a product is fulfilled locally. If an order is produced locally in the same country of delivery no customs fees will be added.
Sometimes, we may route an order to a different producer and ship the product internationally, based on multiple factors. Where an order is routed is determined by an algorithm that works to ensure stock availability, production capacity and logistics to ensure a smooth and fast delivery.
Customs fees may apply based on local regulations when we ship internationally across borders. The fee may vary depending on your order value, country limits, and other factors based on the product itself. Your end customer is responsible for these fees. Any fees are paid to the appropriate customs agency by the end customer.
We recommend adding a disclaimer on your store informing your customer that customs fees might be due depending on where the order is shipped from.
