How do I upload my design for a canvas?

Designing your canvas is simple!

We recommend using our design editor that will give you a blank template with guides to follow - click on "Start designing" on the product page

Put the design in the inner box if you want your design to be printed only on the front of the canvas (not on the side edges) - see the example below.

If you upload your picture, as shown above, it will be printed as in the mockup below - please note that the sides are white.

If you want your design to be visible on the sides too, then extend the picture as shown in the example below.

If you upload your picture, as shown above, it will be printed as in the mockup below - please note that the sides are printed.

Alternatively, you can download our sample template (click on 3 dots next to "Start designing" and select "Download template") that will show you how the file should be created so you can recreate print-ready files like this

Note: When designing your artwork, please consider that the canvas needs to be stretched over the frame.

In the example below, the picture should be positioned in the inner box, bleeding 2 cm on each side to cover the frame. The part with the grey bands (1.5 cm on each side) will not be visible as it will be stretched over the back part of the frame.

E.g. if you are ordering a 2cm-thick canvas in 200x300mm size vertical and would like your picture to be wrapped around the canvas, the picture you upload should have the following dimensions:

  • Width: 200mm + (20mm x 2) + (15mm x 2) = 270 mm
  • Length: 300mm + (20mm x 2) + (15mm x 2) = 370 mm

Where 20mm is the edge of the canvas (i.e. the one visible at the sides) and 15mm is the part of the canvas stretched over the back of the frame (i.e. invisible to the end customer).

Tip: If you would like to have white or black edges, just create your file with white or black fill outside the main design area. In the example above, your design will be 200x300mm + 35mm white or black edges on each side.
