I have Gelato Wallets enabled. Why was my credit card charged?

Although you have Gelato Wallets enabled, there are some cases where your credit card can still be charged.

  • Your Gelato Wallet didn’t have enough funds to pay for an order. In this case, we would charge the credit card on file for the difference (e.g. the order cost is EUR 15, and your wallet contains EUR 10, we will charge your card for the remaining EUR 5)

If you have automatic top-up enabled, we will always charge your wallet.
