A: With inflation currently at an all-time high, we have seen increased costs in raw material, production, energy, and distribution from anywhere between 5% all the way up to over 100%. Many companies have also been subject to sharp price increases in transportation costs. We wish that we would not have to make any price adjustments, but have ensured that they are kept to an absolute minimum. Helping your business succeed is our top priority and we are committed to continuing to provide you with quality production and reliable delivery at competitive prices, and have implemented a new shipping discount benefit to our Gelato+ Gold and Gelato+ subscriptions - details below.
Q: When will these updates go live?
The new price adjustments will go live on August 1, while the Gelato+ Gold and Gelato+ shipping discounts are already live for you to take advantage of!
Q: How does Gelato help to mitigate shipping costs?
A: Being a Gelato customer gives you the power of our local production and distribution model to send orders from closer locations. In addition, we are adding some extra benefits to our subscription service, in the form of shipping discounts.
Gelato+ Gold: With Gelato+ Gold you receive a 30% discount on all shipping costs to 45+ countries (including Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Singapore, and Japan). As soon as you hit 50 orders in one calendar month you will receive a 50% discount on all shipping costs for the rest of the calendar month.
Gelato+: With Gelato+ you will receive a 30% discount on all shipping costs to 45+ countries (including Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Singapore, and Japan).
Q: How can I check the product price per region?
A: You can check the different product prices for each region on our product pages in our product catalog. You can read more about this in our article Does the fulfillment region affect production costs?
Q: How do I know which products I’m selling will now have regional pricing?
A: Regional pricing will be introduced to all tote bags, apparel, posters, and framed posters.
Q: Will you be adjusting the local prices more often now?
A: From time to time, we make small adjustments to prices to reflect updated costs and market conditions.
Q: Will different countries have different prices? How would I know what prices to expect for different countries?
A: Each country belongs to a geographical area, you can check which countries are in which geographical areas in our Help Center article here. The product and shipping prices may be different according to geographical areas.
Q: How should I set prices in my store?
A: First, know where your sales come from. Taking into account the regions where your sales are from, adjust your prices to the highest price between the regions. Eg. If you primarily sell to customers in the USA, Canada, and some parts of Europe, including Germany and the price for your products are most expensive when shipped to Germany, adjust your prices by taking into account this price.

Q: Will I need to update how much I charge for shipping in my store?
A: If you have live rate shipping (Shopify/WooCommerce) set up for your store, you will not have to update shipping prices. Gelato delivery profiles in Shopify and Etsy will also be updated so any adjusted prices will be reflected upon checkout. If you have a Wix, Squarespace, or BigCommerce store, you may have to adjust your shipping pricing in your store. You can refer to the following articles

Q: Will other product categories also have regional pricing? If so, when?
A: Regional pricing will apply for apparel, tote bags, posters, and framed posters for now. Other products will continue to have the same pricing globally. We do review our prices from time to time and will inform you ahead of price adjustments.
Q: Will I be able to set different prices for the different regions and can I configure this from Gelato when creating a product?
A: From Gelato, you will only be able to set one retail price for your product that will apply to all geographical zones.
