How can I subscribe to Gelato+ or Gelato Gold with Gelato wallet

In order to sign up for one of Gelato subscriptions using your Gelato wallet please first make sure that you have activated the wallet in the relevant currency you want to use for payment and topped it up with funds to cover the subscription cost.

If you are not sure how to activate and top up your Gelato wallet please refer to the dedicated article How to set up and use a Wallet.

Once your wallet is set up and topped up with funds it will be visible as 'active' under your profile icon, in your Billing>Payment method>Wallets.

Now you can move to Gelato+ Subscriptions and choose a desired plan:

Once you click on the 'Subscribe' button under a plan of your choice  will have to choose between a monthly or yearly plan:

After you choose the billing plan and click on the 'Next' button you will notice that Gelato Wallet is now available as a payment method:

Once you click on "Gelato Wallet" highlighted in the previous screenshot you will have to click "Next" to go to the final step:

Now all left to do is to confirm the payment with your wallet and click on the 'Pay and subscribe' button:

Once the system processes your wallet payment you should have access to all features of the chosen plan! 

FAQs:

  1. Q: Can I use my wallet to subscribe with the automatic top-up option disabled? 
    A: Yes. You can use it as long as you have enough funds to cover the subscription cost. 

  2. Q: I don't have enough funds in my wallet to cover the next month of subscription. What will happen on the billing date?
    A: Your credit or debit card associated with your wallet will be charged for the difference (or the full amount if your wallet balance is 0).

This will also happen if you have automatic top-up disabled in your wallet.
